Serger Basics

Class Fee: $10 (no charge for those who purchased machine from CSC)

This class focuses on the basic operation of your serger. You will learn the basics of threading, tension adjustments, as well as how to make a perfect 3-thread and 4-thread stitch. Bring your serger (Note: it MUST be in working order), foot pedal & cord, accessory box, instruction manual, and 4 cones of thread in colors which correspond to the threading paths on your machine (usually blue, green, yellow, and pink).

Serger Workbook

This class is designed to take serging beyond seam finishing. Learn to take corners and curves in stride, and see the different effects you can get with decorative threads. You will receive a folder, instructions, and pages for your finished samples. Note: participants must have taken the Serger Basics class in order to enroll in this class. Please bring your serger (must be in working order), foot pedal & cord, accessories, 4 cones of thread, and instruction manual.
